Pt. Sanjeev Abhyankar, the Maestro from the Mewati Gharana, is an artist of international acclaim in the field of Hindustani Classical and Devotional Music. He is an Iconic singer of his generation. In a career spanning over 30 years, he has assumed the mantle of a role model of dedication, hard work, patience and perseverance. He has dedicated his entire life to the promotion and conservation of our rich tradition of Hindustani classical music.
Born on the 5th October 1969, Sanjeev, the child prodigy, rendered his first stage performance in Mumbai, at the age of elevenHe has been groomed by his mother, Dr. Shobha Abhyankar and Padmavibhushan Pandit Jasraj ji. |
Since then, he has travelled extensively all over the country and abroad performing in all the prestigious conferences and art circles, several times. He has spread the fragrance of Indian Classical music in over 200 different cities around the world till date.
He has received many awards which include the President award from the All India Radio in 1990, the prestigious Kumar Gandharva National Award 2008 by Govt. of Madhya Pradesh, the coveted National Award 1998 as the best male playback singer for the Hindi film Godmother, F.I.E. Foundation National Award in 1996, the title Sur-Ratna and the Pandit Jasraj Gaurav Puraskar, to name a few.
He has a large number of recordings to his credit by reputed music labels, which are popular all around the world. Sanjeev has rendered the entire Dasbodh written by Ramdas Swami containing 7,800 verses for an audio book project by the Govt of Maharashtra.
He is a wonderful composer and has several classical and devotional compositions to his credit which have enriched the already vast repertoire of the Mewati Gharana to which he belongs. Sanjeev’s voice which transports the listeners to a different world, has a meditative and calming effect which has healed many patients with various problems. |

Ajinkya Joshi is a talented and established Tabla player of the younger generation of Indian Classical Music. He started his initial training at the age of seven from Pt. Shantilal Shah and then from with Taal-Yogi Padmashree Pt. Suresh Talwalkar in the Guru-Shishya Parampara tradition.
Exceptionally sweet tonal quality, a perfect balance between Daaya-Bayan, clarity of compositions in Tabla solo and the precise Vajan of his strokes are some highlights of his playing. He possesses a highly disciplined sound technique. Ajinkya is the recipient of Vishnu Digambar Paluskar Award in 1999. He has been Awarded the National Scolarship for young artists by the Goverment of India. |
Ajinkya has accompanied various artists from all strings of the Indian Classical Music such as Pt. Ulhas Kashalkar, Pt. Ronu Majumdar, Smt.Shama Bhate, Pt. Venkatesh Kumar, Pt Sanjeev Abhyankar, Smt.Arati Anklikar, Smt .Ashwini Bhide Deshpande and a galaxy of others.
Ajinkya has performed in major Classical Festivals in India such as Sawai Gandharva Festival,Pune and Harivallabh Sangeet Samaroh,Jalandhar. He has performed Tabla Solo in the biggest classical music festival in the world, The Bengal Classical Music Festival, Dhaka. He has toured the world for performances including U.S.A.,Canada,Switzerland, Dubai, Hong Kong and England. |

blessings of his guru Pt. Pramod Marathe, Pt. Ulhas Kashalkar and Pt. Suresh
Talwalkar, he has earned name and fame.
Tanmay is the most sought after harmonium player in the country. He has
accompanied many established and famed artists like Ustad Zakir Hussain, Gansarswati
Kishortai Amonkar, Pt. Ulhas Kashalkar, Pt.
Rajan Sajan Mishra, Pt. Anindo Chatterji, Ustad Rashid Khan,
Pt. Sanjeev Abhyankar, Smt. Devaki Pandit, Smt. Ashwini Bhide, Ustad Taufiq Qureshi, Smt. Aarti Ankalikar, Pt. Ajoy Chakrabarty, Pt. Ramdas Palsule,

Tanmay is expanding his real further. He is now an emerging solo harmonium artist.

opportunity to master the lesser-explored style of solo harmonium performances.
Tanmay is also a teacher to many. His students come from varied backgrounds and
countries like England, U.S. A and Canada. With his real time, online sessions he is
